Products for Drinking Water Scheme EUSR - Face-to-Face
The EUSR Products for Drinking Water scheme provides awareness of Water Regulations which require that all chemicals, materials and components in contact with drinking water need to be approved and tested to confirm they do not compromise water quality. This scheme is aimed at water industry personnel involved in activities associated with drinking water and is governed by Water UK 'Clean Water Committee'.
Description
The Products for Drinking Water scheme is designed for all persons who work on, or work with any aspect of clean drinking water, whether that be on site, or developing, supplying or procuring a product to be used in a public water system. This includes the supply of emergency equipment that may come into contact with clean, potable drinking water.
The driving force behind this scheme is Regulation 31 of the Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations, which mandates that all materials and equipment coming into contact with water intended for supply, must be approved and tested to ensure they do not compromise water quality.
The EUSR Products for Drinking Water scheme has been developed in collaboration with UK water companies and key stakeholders from across the water industry, to provide delegates with the required knowledge and awareness of the relevant Regulations and their application. This training allows delegates to understand the vital part they play in complying with these Regulations and protecting public health.
