The Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme Refresher (SSSTS-R) course is designed for those who have previously passed the two-day SSSTS course.
Description
This course brings the candidate's health and safety knowledge up to date, as well as giving them a thorough overview of the legislative changes and their impact in the workplace. The course builds upon the material in the original course and includes a wide range of topics which have been affected by changes to procedures.

Aims & Objectives
On successful completion of this course, delegates should be able to:

Supervise health and safety on site in accordance with current legal provisions and within the context of their role.

Develop an understanding of responsibility and accountability for the health, safety and welfare of workers on site.

Mode for Delivery
The course is delivered by one of our fully qualified tutors, who use a variety of theoretical input, including group exercises, discussions and interactive PowerPoint.
Examination: Attainment of the learning outcomes will be assessed by an examination which consists of 22 questions under exam conditions and which will last 30 minutes. Delegates are permitted to use the Construction Site Safety – The Comprehensive Guide (GE700) publication for the last 10 minutes of the exam.

The SSSTS refresher course is intended for anyone who has completed the full SSSTS two day-course.
Prerequisites
Delegates are required to have a valid SSSTS certificate in order to sit this course. The certificate must be sent to Quinn's Training Services for confirmation during the booking process.
Please note all courses are delivered in English, therefore delegates must be competent in written and spoken English at site supervisor level.
Onsite Delivery Requirements
A classroom environment with a table and chair for each delegate, power, a clear wall or screen for presenting and suitable welfare facilities. This course also requires a suitable amount of space needed to carry out practical demonstrations and assessments.
