Description

The NERS Electricity at Work Regulations E-Learning course delves into the EAWR 1989 and allows delegates to understand its main objectives and how and why it applies to their everyday work. 

At the end of the course, learners will be able to:

  • Identify the legal framework and purpose of the EAWR 1989
  • Understand the duties placed on employers, employees and self-employed persons
  • Recognise the key requirements for safe electrical systems and equipment
  • Explain what it means to be a competent person under Regulation 16
  • Understand when live working is, and is not, permitted under Regulation 14

Assessment

Understanding of the course subject is verified by assessment questions after the learning modules.  

Certification

On successful completion of the course, learners will receive a certificate with an expiry date of one year. 

Costing Information

This course costs £20+VAT per learner.

Intended For

This e-learning course is a mandatory requirement for all operatives who need to be authorized as competent under NERS.  

It is also essential learning for any individual, at any level of a company, who is involved in working with electrical systems.

Mode for Delivery

Run through our e-learning platform, the NERS Electricity at Work Regulations course is a self-directed course.   This allows candidates to work through materials completely independently of a tutor and at a time, and pace, which is convenient for them. 

Prerequisites

There are no academic pre-requisites for this course but it is suggested that learners have a good working knowledge of English.  

Delivery Requirements

Delegates will require a laptop or computer with good internet access for this course.
