The Temporary Works Co-ordinator Training Course Refresher (TWCTC-R) is designed to help those who have responsibility for managing all forms of temporary works on site. The course seeks to improve the knowledge of this role and the temporary works environment. It allows delegates to understand the need for and duties of a TWC, understand the role of others and gain a detailed knowledge and understanding of BS 5975 in respect of this role.
Description
Temporary works on both smaller and larger sites can be high risk activities. Therefore, understanding the essentials of good risk and safety management, as outlined in BS 5975: 2019, is relevant for projects of all sizes.

Aims & Objectives
On successful completion of this course, delegates should be able to:
· Understand the need for and duties of a TWC
· The other key roles involved in temporary works
· The use of BS 5975:2019 in relation to the role
· Typical documents used in temporary works
· Other legislation and guidance that interact with temporary works
· The importance of the 4Cs: communication, co-ordination, co-operation and competence
· The need for risk management

Intended For
The TWCTC-Refresher course is intended as a refresher course for anyone who has sat the full TWCTC course.
Prerequisites
For the TWCTC-Refresher, only learners who have previously passed the TWCTC or the TWCTC refresher in the last five years are eligible to attend. Certificates must be submitted to Quinn's Training Services during the booking process for confirmation.
This course is delivered in English, therefore delegates must be competent in written and spoken English for the level of course they are attending.
Mode for Delivery
The course is delivered by one of our fully qualified tutors who use a variety of theoretical input, including group exercises,discussions and interactive PowerPoint.
Assessments:Attainment of the learning outcomes will be assessed by a trainer review, a learner review, mandatory exercises and an examination which consists of 22 questions under exam conditions for 45 minutes. Delegates are permitted to use the course workbook – which may include any notes made by the learner during the course- for the duration of the exam.
Onsite Delivery Requirements
This course is delivered as a tutor led, e-classroom course. To attend the course, delegates must have a laptop or larger screen tablet with audio and video capability, as well as a good internet connection. They must also be in an appropriate environment while attending the course.
